What the site actually processes
resunix.ca is a static website with no application database. It does not actively collect personal information through server-stored forms.
The contact form uses the mailto protocol: data entered is passed to the visitor's email client and does not pass through RĒSUNIX inc.'s web servers. Information is received by email.
Technical logs (server logs) are generated automatically. They contain connection metadata for security and administration purposes. They do not contain form data.
The site uses no cookies, no analytics tools, no trackers and no automatically loaded external resources.
Legal framework — Quebec and Canada
Law 25 — Quebec
The Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information (Law 25, S.Q. 2021, c. 25) is the primary framework applicable to RĒSUNIX inc., whose registered office is in Quebec.
RĒSUNIX inc. has designated a Privacy Officer, endeavors to limit collection to declared purposes, and handles information received with care in respect of the rights of individuals concerned.

PIPEDA — Canada
The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, S.C. 2000, c. 5) applies to RĒSUNIX inc.'s interprovincial and international commercial activities.
RĒSUNIX inc. endeavors to uphold the fair information principles set out in Schedule 1 of PIPEDA, including accountability, limiting collection, openness and individual access.

Hosting and location
The site is hosted by OVH Canada, with primary infrastructure in Quebec. Resilience mechanisms may result in replication to other Canadian facilities, including Ontario. Data remains at all times in Canada.
International frameworks
RĒSUNIX inc. is a Canadian company whose activities are primarily carried out in Quebec and Canada. Law 25 and PIPEDA are its primary reference frameworks.
Additional obligations may apply depending on the jurisdiction of residence of the person concerned, including under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679) for individuals located in the European Union, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.) for California residents. These situations are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
